Gmail adds emoticons feature

I love finding by myself new UI elements here and there in the services that I normally use.

Gmail has added a new feature to add emoticons in your emails which I highly doubt I will use.

They have added this feature two days ago.

Composing a post in blogger.com looks funny on Firefox 3

Today I was going to do a blog post and this is how the form looked like:

I wonder if it is one of the three add-ons I have or that I am using the Spanish version but it looks fine in the other browsers that I have.

I will file a bug if I cannot find a way to fix it

FSOSS - discussion panel

I am taking part of a discussion panel (TOS@FSOSS: The Student's perspective) during FSOSS and I have to prepare a short slide show to give a brief background about me.
I am one of another 3 students who have been involved with Open Source during their programs in post-secondary institutions and will be taking part of this discussion lead by Mark Surman, Executive Director, Mozilla Foundation

Google chrome comes with a Trojan - false positive

Who in this world likes to download a trojan instead of the program you want to get?
In my case, when I tried to download Google Chrome, avast saved me from downloading a trojan called Win32:Midgare-OI [Trj] and it seems that I am not the only one who has run into it

I thought that I was being saved by avast but after reading the mentioned post in google groups, I have found that it might most likely be a false positive by avast. I do not think that Google is going to be happy with the impression given to many users that were using avast and tried to download chrome.

Image 2: I tried to download Google Chrome with Internet Explorer and get asked if I want to "run" the program. If I cancel and go to next page to download the file, I get the same trojan warning
